Inside Our Wheel Restoration Process | Auto Wax

Restoring the Shine

Wheels reveal detailing quality quickly. Proper restoration starts with understanding the finish and damage depth.

Diagnosis first

  • Curb rash, clear coat failure, embedded dust, and wash marring all require different approaches
  • Finish type guides pad, polish, and sanding strategy

Prep and cleaning

Deep cleaning behind spokes, around valve stems, and within lug pockets is required before mechanical correction.

Sanding and correction control

Sanding removes defects while preserving wheel geometry. Polishing then restores clarity and depth without edge burn.

QC and protection

Final checks under harsh light catch missed haze and residue. A wheel-safe protective layer helps preserve finish through heat and brake dust.
